Prefab Production – Level V Plumber

Position Summary

US-Offsite is seeking an experienced Level 5 Plumber (Lead) to be a part a skilled team of plumbers in our modular construction factory in Shasta County. From single-family and multi- family buildings, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality residential projects. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and train a team of plumbers within the prefabrication plant, fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and professionalism.

  1. Job Duties 
    1. Oversee installation of plumbing systems in US-Offsite manufacturing facilities
      for construction of single family and multifamily buildings. 
    2. Leadership – Lead plumbers in the manufacturing of 7,000 – 10,000 sq. ft. of
      modular construction per month 

      1. Cultivate a high-performing culture in the plumbing team characterized by
        respect and honor for every team member. 
      2. Handle delegated authority from Prefab Production Superintendent as
        appropriate, providing leadership and contributing to the company’s
        success. 
    3. Training – Systematically train plumbing team in plumbing means and methods
      for residential construction, growing team members from level 1 to level 5
      according to their previous experience. 
    4. Plumbing Plan Review – Review all plans prior to submittal and prior to
      manufacturing for constructability, streamlined manufacturing and efficient material use, providing expert advice to the design team and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. 
    5. Safety – Enforcing job safety standards, ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. 
      1. Clean and prepare manufacturing floor and all areas relevant to electrical team by removing debris and possible hazards. 
      2. Load and unload building materials and equipment. 
      3. Operate and control heavy-duty equipment and machinery for moving
        materials on the floor. 
    6. Support all projects on US-Offsite campuses from a plumbing standpoint. 
  2. Qualifications 
    1. Master plumber with +5 years of experience installing residential plumbing
      systems. 
    2. Proficient in reviewing and reading construction plans and specifications,
      especially in regard to plumbing. 
    3. Proven experience coaching and leading teams. 
    4. Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration, and
      leadership skills. 
    5. Experience managing work crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors. 
    6. Familiarity with other residential trades (e.g., earthwork, utilities, concrete,
      framing, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and finish carpentry) to efficiently coordinate electrical scope.
    7. Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently orally and in writing regarding technical building details

         III. Working Conditions

    1. Standing and Walking: Employees may be required to stand or walk for extended
      periods while performing tasks. 
    2. Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling: The job may involve frequent bending,
      stooping, and kneeling to access materials, work at various heights, or perform
      assembly tasks. 
    3. Repetitive Motions: Certain tasks may require repetitive motions such as
      grasping, twisting, or reaching. This could include tasks like fastening
      components, handling small parts, or operating machinery. 
    4. Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing,
      or pulling of objects weighing up to 150 pounds. Additionally, candidates must be
      capable of climbing and working from ladders up to 36 feet in height. 
    5. Manual Dexterity: Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination may be
      necessary for tasks such as assembling components, operating tools, or
      performing quality control checks. 
    6. Working in Confined Spaces: This job may require employees to work in confined
      spaces or tight quarters, which could involve additional physical challenges
      related to maneuvering and accessing work areas. 
    7. Environmental Conditions: This job may require exposure to various unusual
      elements, including extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.

Brad has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry ranging from civil engineering field inspections and residential inspections to project management. Brad brings a logistical mindset to the Prefab Project Coordinator role, driving material procurement and management to keep US-Offsite’s production line moving forward. Stephen has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry and is now implementing that in his role at US-Offsite. With a solid foundation as a licensed electrician, Stephen combines technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure projects are designed for constructability within the expanding field of volumetric modular. When not designing construction projects, Stephen takes great joy in fly fishing, cooking, and camping with family. Josh Kaeber

VP of Operations

Josh grew up in a German family business that has been building prefabricated housing at scale since the 1970s. He began his career as a journeyman framer, gaining valuable hands-on experience both in the factory and on install teams. With a degree in Construction Engineering and Business Administration, Josh has worked on both the construction management and real estate development sides of multifamily projects exceeding $200MM. Passionate about building quality housing in the most cost-effective way, his combined expertise in engineering, planning, estimating, and financial feasibility drives him to consistently find the most efficient way to build.

Jedd is a Registered Architect with over 25 years in design, construction, and real estate development. He has led the successful completion of hundreds of projects in over 30 states and internationally, including: multifamily, hospitality, museum exhibit, senior housing, restaurant, luxury residential, educational, family entertainment & themed facilities, and retail projects, ranging from $1 million to $500 million.

Alex has nearly two decades of finance experience spanning investment banking, portfolio management ($10B+), derivatives trading, and FP&A. Prior to joining US-Offsite, he managed a real estate private credit fund enabling sponsors to execute on their development pro-formas. He currently oversees all financial and non-production-related decisions at US-Offsite. When not in the factory, Alex enjoys spending time with his family (2 daughters with 1 more on the way!), playing the guitar, skiing at nearby Mt. Shasta, and rooting for the New York Yankees. He is a CFA Charterholder and received his B.S. in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business.
