Position Summary
The Receiving Assistant plays a vital role in supporting US-Offsite’s mission to deliver high-quality, factory-built housing by managing the receipt, inspection, organization, and distribution of materials across the campus. This role ensures materials meet quality standards, align with project specifications, and are efficiently routed to support production timelines. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, organizational skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED (Minimum Requirements):

Familiarity with modular construction or manufacturing environments

Ability to drive a forklift comfortably (official training will be provided within the first 60 days)

Familiarity with all residential trades (e.g., earthwork, utilities, concrete, framing, plumbing,
electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and finish carpentry)

Proficient in reviewing and reading construction plans and specifications

Familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards
WHAT YOU ARE GREAT AT (Day-to-Day Responsibilities):
1. Material Offloading & Storage for A, B, C, GC, TC, T Materials
-
Offload palletized materials with forklift
-
Offload boxes & packages
-
Receive & sign packages at receiving office
-
Store & re-stock Project Specific and Inventory materials throughout campus in adherence with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
-
Maintain clean & organized receiving office & storage areas
-
Distribute urgently needed materials to office & production staff in coordination with purchasing team & material handler
-
Moving materials from storage to staging
-
Rejecting materials
-
Re-assigning left-over Project Specific materials for future projects
-
Disposing or returning damaged materials
2. Material QC for A, B, C, GC, TC, T Materials
-
Inspect incoming materials in adherence with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to
ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and project requirements

Verify material quantities, specifications and condition against Purchase Orders (PO)
-
Identify materials received without paperwork, and match them to the order placed
-
Visually identify all received materials using labels for:

Project Specific acronym
-
Inventory
-
Technical Details (as needed)
-
Ship-loose
-

Use paperwork, pictures, & digital solutions (Monday.com, NetSuite) to document:

Dates of materials received
-
All material discrepancies, including:

Incorrect materials
-
Incorrect quantities
-
Incorrect specifications (color, size, etc.)

Damage
-
-
Document partially received orders.

Identify potential production hang ups caused by partial deliveries & troubleshoot with vendors, purchasing team, and production leads to identify solutions.

SCHEDULE:
- Full-time: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
COMPENSATION AND CAREER GROWTH:

$22 – $25/hour, depending on experience
- Opportunities for performance-based increases
