Receiving Assistant

The Receiving Assistant plays a vital role in supporting US-Offsite’s mission to deliver high-quality, factory-built housing by managing the receipt, inspection, organization, and distribution of materials across the campus.

Position Summary

The Receiving Assistant plays a vital role in supporting US-Offsite’s mission to deliver high-quality, factory-built housing by managing the receipt, inspection, organization, and distribution of materials across the campus. This role ensures materials meet quality standards, align with project specifications, and are efficiently routed to support production timelines. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, organizational skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, bring experience in construction or manufacturing, and take pride in contributing to a purpose-driven, collaborative team.

WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED (Minimum Requirements):

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs


WHAT SETS YOU APART (Preferred Requirements):

  • Familiarity with modular construction or manufacturing environments

  • Experience working in a fast-growing company

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude

  • Ability to drive a forklift comfortably (official training will be provided within the first 60 days)

  • Familiarity with all residential trades (e.g., earthwork, utilities, concrete, framing, plumbing,

    electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and finish carpentry)

  • Proficient in reviewing and reading construction plans and specifications

  • Familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards

WHAT YOU ARE GREAT AT (Day-to-Day Responsibilities):

1. Material Offloading & Storage for A, B, C, GC, TC, T Materials

  • Offload palletized materials with forklift

  • Offload boxes & packages

  • Receive & sign packages at receiving office

  • Store & re-stock Project Specific and Inventory materials throughout campus in adherence with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Maintain clean & organized receiving office & storage areas

  • Distribute urgently needed materials to office & production staff in coordination with purchasing team & material handler

  • Moving materials from storage to staging

  • Rejecting materials

  • Re-assigning left-over Project Specific materials for future projects

  • Disposing or returning damaged materials

2. Material QC for A, B, C, GC, TC, T Materials

  • Inspect incoming materials in adherence with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to

    ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and project requirements

  • Verify material quantities, specifications and condition against Purchase Orders (PO)

  • Identify materials received without paperwork, and match them to the order placed

  • Visually identify all received materials using labels for:

    1. Project Specific acronym

    2. Inventory

    3. Technical Details (as needed)

    4. Ship-loose

  • Use paperwork, pictures, & digital solutions (Monday.com, NetSuite) to document:

    1. Dates of materials received

    2. All material discrepancies, including:

      1. Incorrect materials

      2. Incorrect quantities

      3. Incorrect specifications (color, size, etc.)

      4. Damage

    3. Document partially received orders.

    4. Identify potential production hang ups caused by partial deliveries & troubleshoot with vendors, purchasing team, and production leads to identify solutions.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM


COMPENSATION AND CAREER GROWTH:

  • $22 – $25/hour, depending on experience

  • Opportunities for performance-based increases

Stephen Limerick

Modular Design Manager

Stephen has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry and is now implementing that in his role at US-Offsite. With a solid foundation as a licensed electrician, Stephen combines technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure projects are designed for constructability within the expanding field of volumetric modular. When not designing construction projects, Stephen takes great joy in fly fishing, cooking, and camping with family. Josh Kaeber

VP of Operations

Josh grew up in a German family business that has been building prefabricated housing at scale since the 1970s. He began his career as a journeyman framer, gaining valuable hands-on experience both in the factory and on install teams. With a degree in Construction Engineering and Business Administration, Josh has worked on both the construction management and real estate development sides of multifamily projects exceeding $200MM. Passionate about building quality housing in the most cost-effective way, his combined expertise in engineering, planning, estimating, and financial feasibility drives him to consistently find the most efficient way to build.

JEDD PELLERIN

Director of Modular Design and Sales

Jedd is a Registered Architect with over 25 years in design, construction, and real estate development. He has led the successful completion of hundreds of projects in over 30 states and internationally, including: multifamily, hospitality, museum exhibit, senior housing, restaurant, luxury residential, educational, family entertainment & themed facilities, and retail projects, ranging from $1 million to $500 million.

ALEX SHEA

CFO

Alex has nearly two decades of finance experience spanning investment banking, portfolio management ($10B+), derivatives trading, and FP&A. Prior to joining US-Offsite, he managed a real estate private credit fund enabling sponsors to execute on their development pro-formas. He currently oversees all financial and non-production-related decisions at US-Offsite. When not in the factory, Alex enjoys spending time with his family (2 daughters with 1 more on the way!), playing the guitar, skiing at nearby Mt. Shasta, and rooting for the New York Yankees. He is a CFA Charterholder and received his B.S. in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business.
